1. TELL ME MORE ABOUT ANDERSON ASSOCIATES, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT [AALD]

We are a specialist firm covering Learning and Development for organisations. We started in 1984 and operate from Cambridge, England. Our work has covered Needs Analysis, Design, Delivery and Evaluation as well as writing over 12 published books and 3 manuals from a leading publisher in Oxford, covering Strategy to Learning and Development.

Currently, our focus is solely on the design and development of Learning and Development materials for organisations.  

The topics include Business, Management and Leadership.

3. FOR WHOM IS THIS LEARNING and DEVELOPMENT MATERIAL INTENDED?

The work is geared towards staff and management. For example, Personal Development and Customer Service/Quality have immediate relevance to all personnel. Likewise leadership/followership and teamwork have widespread transferability. The other elements tend to focus on less senior management and professionals.

These skills and knowledge may also be helpful to new graduates entering or due to enter labour markets via a full time university degree.

4. OUTLINE THE KEY ASPECTS OF THE DESIGN OF THESE MATERIALS.
  1. We align skills to a strong knowledge base while encouraging a positive attitude towards colleagues, the organisation as a whole and to customers/clients.
  2. Learner commitment is stimulated by positive interaction and reinforcement.
  3. Self-pacing of learning with no need for a tutor/facilitator means that individuals are responsible for the timing and development of their own ‘mental map’.
  4. The work is practical with realistic activities and application to actual scenarios.
  5. While the work is structured around bite-sized learning for busy people, the clusters form an holistic perspective.

6. ARE YOU DEVELOPING MORE CLUSTERS?

Yes. These include:

  1. Decision-making and Projects
  2. Working with People
  3. Finance for the Non-financial Specialist.
7. ARE YOU DEVELOPING MORE UNITS/CLUSTERS FOR MORE SENIOR MANAGERS?

Yes. We have just completed a cluster on Employee Relations [ER]. These Units include:

  • Understanding and analysing your ER situation
  • Working with Trade Unions
  • Managing ER
  • Conflict and its management
  • Dealing with current issues in ER.
8. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE FORMAT OF EACH UNIT?

We have used a basic e ‘booklet’ format with prompts/icons that act as the ‘tutor/facilitator’ for the self-learner. This format lends itself to be placed on your e platform or directly on to the computer/laptop of each learner/self-developer using PDF files.

9. I DON’T WANT OPEN-ENDED CONTRACTS WITH ANNUAL LICENSING FEES THAT SEEM TO INCREASE EVERY YEAR.

We agree entirely – you buy in the materials as Units or by clusters at the outset. The latter is more economical with no ongoing fees or hidden charges. See the Terms and Conditions.

10. CAN WE UTILISE THE MATERIALS AS WE WISH FOR OUR OWN ORGANISATION ONLY?

Please refer to the Terms and Conditions section but generally yes is the answer, provided that the materials are not used for AI training or any other AI processes, techniques or systems.

In essence, the organisation can utilise the materials for its own use only; we retain the copyright and the global rights of production and of distribution. This is not dissimilar to the normal publishing of books.

11. HOW DOES THE PRICING WORK?

For work organisations, the pricing structure is based on the number of Units and clusters bought in by the organisation with the more you buy the less expensive the materials cost.

For universities a different model is used as their funding/income streams differ from mainstream work organisations. Details can be made available as required.

12.  DO I RECEIVE A FURTHER DISCOUNT WHEN MY ORGANISATION PURCHASES OTHER CLUSTERS AFTER THE INITIAL CLUSTER?

Yes. We can discuss this issue at the time.
